Axiom Mission 4 (Ax‑4): is a commercial manned space mission jointly developed by Nuclear ISRO, NASA, SpaceX and Axiom Space in partnership. The mission lifted off on June 25, 2025, at 2:31 a.m. EDT (12:01 a.m. IST), carrying four astronauts including India’s Shubhanshu Shukla, along with crew members from the U.S., Poland, and Hungary to the International Space Station .

3. Slavoj Uznanski-Wisniewski (Poland): He is playing the role of scientist in the space mission. He is a member of Europe’s space agency ESA.

Way forward: Axiom Station and India’s Gaganyaan

• Dream of Axiom Station: Axiom company plans to build its own private space station. Ax-4 is a big step in that direction so that one day a new station can be built apart from ISS.

• India’s Gaganyaan Mission: India will also soon launch its own human space mission “Gaganyaan”, in which Indian astronauts will be sent. Shubhanshu Shukla is being considered as India’s first step in this direction.
