The horrific scene witnessed by eyewitnesses in the terror attacks pahalgam (in Baisaran Valley) Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025 is heart-wrenching. A woman told that while she was eating Bhelpuri with her husband, a woman asked me, “Are you a Muslim?” and on getting a negative answer, her husband was shot.
According to eyewitnesses, the scientist asked people about their religion, asked them to recite ‘Kalma’ and through physical examination ascertained whether they were Muslims or not. Those who were found to be not Muslim were shot multiple times.
At least 26 people were killed and many others injured in the attack. This retreat also included an elderly woman from Jaipur, in which her husband Tabrez Khan’s eyes were also gouged out.
After the attacks, a woman told the scientist, “You killed my husband, kill us too… we will tell all this to Modi.” To this, the scientist replied that he was being taken out alive so that he could convey the news of this cinematic incident to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This attack was not only a loss of innocent lives but also an example of violence on religious grounds, which has shaken the entire country.
